Hello all, i am looking for a plug in for article bookmarking. Not for bookmarking my own articles, one that will give a word press blog the functionality of sites like Digg, and Mixx..where readers can book mark their articles to the blog. Does anyone know of one like this ? Or... I was also thinking..since this would be an addition to an already existing blog...would it be easier, and more functional to just install a Digg clone like Pligg, on a subdomain, or folder, and just link to it from the main site, and promote it together ? Need suggestions.
You can probably do that using a combination of these two plugins: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tdo-mini-forms/ http://www.tevine.com/projects/voteitup/
Yeah. I've seen those before, and I have never been able to get "mini forms" to work well. After looking around (Unless someone has a working example of a wordpress site that does this), I think I am going to go with the Digg clone on a subdomain for the functionality.
Using pligg probably would give you the most features unless you used several plugins and many modifications. Anyway, these links may be of interest to you: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/706034/wordpress-digg-like-voting-system-plugin http://puffergroup.com/blog/themes/wordpress-as-a-digg-clone/
Thanks. Since the blog is already up, changing to a different theme is out of the question, and i am thinking adding to many function would just be asking for trouble. Pligg on a sub domain is the way to go....I'm thinking. I didn't think there was anything too new out there, just wanted to double check before I committed.
