Looking for an alternative forum host for major website

Hi everyone, I'm actually looking into forum hosting alternatives for my day job. They've been running theirs through Prospero for years now, and the forums aren't sufficient functionally, as well as being very expensive. I'm trying to find some alternatives, we have a few unusual requirements though, so I'm not really sure where to go with this.

The forums currently have around 500,000 pageviews and 10,000 posts per month. Our site sells products from our main site (not off the forums), so security is quite a major concern naturally. The biggest stumbling block i've come accross is that all the forum accounts are directly linked to each user's buying account, and this needs to be maintained on any new forum. In addition, the forum is actually divided into sections not only in the conventional moderator/user forum sense but also between 4 tld extensions (.com, .co.uk etc). Finally, if at all possible it would be nice to transfer the old posts from the current forum if we were to switch.

Personally, I like vBulletin and would just buy a host and license, and set it up... but the need to link to people's account on the main page, as well as the fact that this would need to go through several departments of the company make switching to a different managed host if they charge less or offer better features. Anyone have any advice for me.

You would probably need a dedicated server. I have never used one though so I won't reccomend one.
