I'm looking for an ACT tutor (and if you don't know what the ACT is, then I highly doubt I want you to tutor me). The exam is on Feb. 9th and I am aiming for a perfect score, nothing less. The prices for tutors these days are insane ($1000+ for 23 lessons? I think not.) But we can work something out. I don't want just any tutor. I want an intelligent tutor that know the ACT inside and out and have devised a plan to help increase the scores for students or in other words "mastered the art of tutoring the ACT". You don't have to have a track record of raising thousands of students' ACT scores or featured on The New York Times or anything, but you have to have had a record of tutoring students on the ACT and helping them get a 30+ because I'm aiming for a perfect score and I want a tutor that can help me achieve just that. Payment is via paypal only. I want to communicate via MSN and possibly by phone. And PM me if interested. Tell me a little about yourself (Educational background, what you do for a living, website, proof that you were an ACT tutor and how you increased the students scores, current location, etc.)
You're looking in the wrong place buddy. Just get the collegeboard books and read the info you need to know. If you REALLY want a tutor then the 1000+ guys are the way to go. I'm sure you can find something a bit cheaper though, like a retired teacher. Try on craigslist.
Unless the ACT has added php as a section, i doubt you'll find anything here. If you don't want to pay a lot for a tutor I recommend looking for a book. They are inexpensive compared to tutoring and are written by ACT experts. I used a Sparknotes SAT (never took the ACT) book and I thought it was helpful. Anyways, best of luck on the test.
Thanks. I'll give craiglist a go. I bought an ACT book (Cracking the ACTs), and I'm going to buy 4 more tonight. I learn more if I see it hands on than if I read it, which is the main reason why I want a tutor. Either way, thanks for the suggestions!
There is no way you are going to get a perfect on the ACT from a tutor. Honestly if you think it will get you that, then you are obviously not smart enough anyways.
I want a tutor to help me on my weaknesses. Practice makes perfect, so once I strengthen my weaknesses, I can aim at pacing myself throughout the test. What's wrong with aiming high anyways? If you can't tutor, then I suggest you stop wasting your time. KTHXBAI. :/
Good luck with the ACT, I personally like the SAT better. I found taking practice tests was the best.. My 2 cents!
