looking for affiliate mentor

I've recently gotten into affiliate marketing and I like what I see. I find it challenging and exciting with lots of future potential. My only problem is I need some help getting up and running. I already have hosting, a site, yahoo search marketing, and of course a clickbank account and product but, I'm struggling getting conversions. I've only had one conversion (last thursday was my first one!!!) however I've been at this for a couple months already. I'm looking for someone to work with me and help me boost my sales. I don't need to make a ton of money (yet :D) but I'd like to see some sort of profit. Of course, being my mentor means you get your fair share of the cut. The best way to get a hold of me is through pm or message me via aim @ dynamite196. thanks!

Why should I take you on? I've got lots of people who would love some one on one time, but I just don't have the time to do it. And you'll find that most successful people are in a similar situation. Yes, you sound keen and your offer to work is nice, but I've found that when I don't charge money, people just end up wasting my time and I know I'm not the only one.

Hope that kinda makes sense to you :)

    Well i agree with you.
One has to be willing to pay money upfrond if they want a mentor.
Alright think this way,why would someone spent time with you showing methods on how to make money in exchange for your profit share. Tht person could invest that time in his method and take the 100% share instead.

i dont think anyone would be willing. You should spend money to make money. Of not the option is going through the free books and reseach and ask questions and geting answers.

my advice is to buy a training course and follow its teachings the best one that is launching these days is affiliate classroom
because the problem to find a mentor is that most successful affiliate marketers try to keep their secrets themselves they are busy expending their businesses and if they accept to teach you they charge high dollars for few hours of consulting
    good luck

I agree that it will be hard to find anyone that's a PRO who would be a mentor. The pros make so much money doing their own thing it would not be profitable to be a mentor for just a cut of the commission.

I'd vote for AffiliateClassroom or Wealthy Affiliate. Affiliate Classroom 2 just launched and is pretty good. I have a press release about it on my blog.

This is a good question. Also, the points about paying upfront for mentoring.

What I am doing is developing a service in which there is no upfront payment and no obligation to buy into any of my recommendations.

However, that does not mean I take on anybody or keep on mentoring unconditionally. There is a filtering process whereby you put the ball back into the student's court each time and if they don't return it, nothing happens.

Interestingly, it is usually the people who are looking for a free ride who don't return the ball!

Well if no pros out there want to help you - they're douche bags! online affiliate training from a reputable well known website is the way to go then.
