Looking for advices on how to promote an affiliate program.

Hello guys, if to be honest I am promoting affiliate program first. That's why I came to the point to raise this question at DP forum. Hope it will help me perform my job better. I am currently doing the following:

1) Email marketing. So I am looking for topic related blogs (sites) and send them partnership emails to sign up affiliate progam;
2) Forum posting. I have added the link to my affiliate program in forum signatures;

These two methods seem to work fine and I receive new affiliates acting in such a way, nevertheless I would like to get more. That's why I am here and ready to hear all your comments, ideas and advices on how to attract more affiliates for internet marketing services. Thanks in advance.
