Hi guys. When developing a new site, everyone usually has a basic set of preferential guidelines they like to follow to start marketing it; a list of "things to do" basically. Potentially, if I had a $100 to spend on advertising a fresh new site that had just been created with a few unique articles, how would you specifically go about spending that $100 to market the website? Some of you might prefer not to use any money in the beginning phases. Others may suggest that $100 can really kick-off your site in the beginning. So I wanted some opinions on how each of you would spend $100 on marketing, to really make it pay off long-term (in terms of acquiring natural steady traffic). Thanks
I would spend $24 on adwords to see how it goes and $25 for banners on popular and growing websites that reach your target audience. So you would be left with $50 which you then decide to use on the one which has worked best for you. Ultralite.
what i will do is write more articles myself and submit and register with paid article directory to for backlinks
I hope that when you spend your $100, you don't expect to get results immediately. Make your marketing consistent and varied. Don't just stick with PPC campaigns or sig links because people here will tell you that it's the best way to market your product. You should also explore other marketing strategies like providing free information, building up a list, e-mailing prospects about your site, promote it on relevant forums, etc. The best thing about these other strategies? They're free, or at least cost-effective (cause you may decide to invest on hiring a writer, etc.). Good luck! I hope that helps.
I agree with Ultralite, it's best to manage your money carefully and monitor success rates of various advertising programs before you spend all your budget. I also suggest you make your site content as SEO friendly as possible, cleverly worded articles can push you right to the top of search engines without spending hardly a penny. Hope this helps. Sinead
