Hello, I recently began marketing the website CreditCardsProfessor .com and I am looking for advice on the best ways to get my site noticed above competitors. I've got plenty of time but no money to invest at the moment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

this is a very lucrative niche therefore very competitive. i would suggest you to do a very good keyword research and target only long tail keyword that has very low competition. some big sharks in this industry spending 10s of thousands in marketing their sites so you are up against those people with no money to invest. just follow the basic SEO rule and keep building backlinks for low competitive long tail terms.

Yeah long term keyword is a good idea. Start slow and start strong plus keep creating original and unique content in your credit card website.

I have been thinking that long tail keywords mean stuff like, Best Credit Card Offers for 2011 or Top 0% Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Can someone really explain to me exactly what a long tail keyword is and how to properly use them?
