Looking for advertisers for my site

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by islandboy9, Jun 19, 2009.

How do I get advertisers to pay me to advertise on my site? Is there a company that I can hire to do that for me? I do not mean affiliate marketing. I want advertisers to pay me to display their banners on my site.

    Thanks,
    Keith.

The best way I would of thought would be for you to email other websites (the type you want to advertise on your site) with information such as:

    Your website stats
    Why they should pay you
Where there banner will be placed
    etc etc

You have to make it that they will WANT to advertise on your site. Eaiser said than done, I know. Good luck.

Yes, do some searching, and pin-point who you think will be the most interested. Then start contacting. There may be some trial and error, but like all sales (that is what you are essentially doing) it is a numbers game. You will get a lot of "no's" or probably even more ignoring if all you do is email, but it will happen if you have the determination. Depending on your site, you can directly approach firms/people who you think would be interested.

Go to Google, Yahoo, and MSN and contact the advertisers there.

Sweeten the deal by offering them more space, and maybe a picture.

You can also go to other sites as yours, where there are plenty of advertisers looking for other sites to advertise in.

    Getting advertisers is incredibly easy.

If you don't want to do that, here are the most popular ad networks:

TextLinkAds, TrafficSwarm, CasaleMedia, Advertising, FastClick, BurstMedia, TribalFusion, Azoogle, GlobalInteractive, AdBrite, Adengage, RealMedia, Kontera, Avnads, ValueClick, RealTechNetwork, Reduxmedia, and, Dotomi.

sign up for AdBrite. One major plus is that you can set your own dollar limit that you have to hit in order to get paid.

It is better to contact the advertisers personally, either through the phone or chat.I agree, offering goodies for their advertisement will make a big help for them to invest on your site.
