looking for a web host in the UK

Can any of you UK blokes recommend a good quality web host in the UK that is reasonably priced and offers asp hosting? Asp is not a deal breaker, I can use htrack and capture the site from the development server and ftp it to the host. It would just be easier if the host supports asp.

Fasthosts, they used to be crap 5 years ago, however I have been with them for 6 years and I can honestly say they have come on leaps and bounds, much improved and very effective if using their reseller a/c for a large amount of sites unless you need mysql ms sql , their add-ons can be expensive.

I have never had problems with them over four yeara and yes they answer the phone plus have the back up systems if things go wrong

OK I know some people hate them but I can only write about what service I have got and its tops

 

The last 1&1 "techical support" I spoke to didn't seem to know what a server was.

Best UK host - www.clook.net - I used about a dozen UK hosts, and have been with clook about 2 years - definitely recommended, though they are pretty much an Apache server set-ups rather than Windows boxes.

 

You have to be careful with oneandone.co.uk because apparently 'some' of their servers are in Germany, and some UK businesses have had problems getting ranking well in Google.co.uk.

Not sure how true this is.

 

I'll second this. Really good support; knowledgeable, up-to-date and quick to respond. Thoroughly recommended . But, as posted, unfortunately don't offer ASP hosting. Worth keeping in mind nonetheless.
