Looking for a VPS - Dreamhost?

    Hey everyone, I'm looking to take the next step and upgrade to a VPS. I'm currently hosted with DreamHost, and I actually have a IRL friend that works as a TS support for them. I'm wondering if anyone has ever hosted a PS with them? I've read online and have heard both alot of good and bad things.

    Other VPS sites I'm considering are http://gate.com/ and http://www.jaguarpc.com.

    I would avoid dreamhost, have personally had bad experiences with them before. Also lots of complaints about them online.

    Using dreamhost was a bad Dream for me ;) rather go with any UK webhosting provider.

    Last time i did host my site at dream host normal package.
    But my site load very slow in their shared hosting.
    Now i host my site at tektonic vps and my site is loading fast.

    Dreamhost guys are pathetic, i had my 3 usual niche blogs, and after some traffic spikes they suspended my account,
    it was a horrible nightmare, then i moved to MediaTemple.net's Grid server. No issue so far:)

    The shared hosting from Dreamhost is already pathetic .Their support is one of the worse in internet . If you are going for VPS , I advice to choose any provider with live chat support .

    Set your priority first if your current host doesn't suit your needs and try out to find a reliable hosting service that perfectly meet your requirement.

    Yep, stay away from dreamhost. Lots of downtime and slow servers. I am about to move my sites to http://knownhost.com/vps.html. Check the current specials.

    For about the 100th time in this thread, avoid dreamhost. Something that big, cheap and nasty can't be good as a host. I was seriously considering jaguarpc until I got a much better deal with geekstorage.com. If in doubt, check webhostingtalk.com for the most competitive deals and reviews on nearly all web hosting companies.
