I tried Joomla and got bored with it as it had many things it needed added to get it where I wanted it and moving content around was not as easy at it should be.
you should try to joomla or drupal....both are comes with a thousands plugins. ..and both comes with frond end articles submiting and editing facility
Hi,use WordPress this also comes with plenty of plugins...and easy to integrate... http://www.wordpress.org/
Drupal or Joomla are the content management software choices that I would recommend from what you are describing. Just remember, no matter which CMS you use, you are still going to have to put in some work no matter what.
I would prefer WordPress or Drupal. # Its free # Huge online community for support. # Lots of free templates and plugins.
