Hello all, I have had a bodybuilding website running for about eight years now which I put up when I did not really know much about HTML or web design. Now I would like to revise the design so that it is preferred by users than the current design. You can view my current website/web design here: http://www.bodybuildingpro.com A sample page on my website looks like this: http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/articles.html I was told to check out these designs here: http://www.siteground.com/joomla-hosting/joomla15-templates.htm My favourite of those that I saw upon a quick search was this one: http://joomla15.siteground.com/?template=siteground-j15-105 I would like to keep the current top, bottom, and side ads on the pages as I currently have them. Is this a feasible change? Is there a recommended template for this type of website?
I'm really not a web design expert, but the step from what you currently have (which, yes, really does need a bit of a refresh) to the one you noted as an example isn't that big of a leap. However, I'm guessing you are not currently using CSS on your site, and you might want to think about it for the update. You specifically mentioned a Joomla template - are you thinking of using Joomla now? Or did you just come across is and like what you saw? You might want to think about investing in the services of a web designer if you're making any money at all from the site, as a little investment is likely to pay off for you in the long run methinks.
Someone pointed me to Joomla so I started my search there! I am open minded and interested in seeing what else is out there also. Thanks!
You can take a look at this site. http://www.websitetemplates.bz I`m not sure whether there are body building ready-made templates but you can certainly customize the theme you need and it would be designed in the way you want.
Hi everyone. I just wanted to bump this thread in order to ask: Is there anything specific I can do to improve my website? The design is old but an entire overhaul of my website may not be feasible at this point. Please let me know if there is a more appropriate forum to post this question on. I have been on this forum for a while, but have not posted very much and also do not wish to violate board rules.
