Looking for a social networking script similar to orkut

Best is a relative term. Social engine does some stuff well but others not nearly as well. It also doesn't have as many features as others and is costlier. I gave it a thought but realized it's missing a few essentials.

I want to install a clone of email like gmail/yahoo etc.

Can we graphic artists, php programmers, copywriters get togather and create social network code for GPL ? why not

 

Don't you like to use Joomla as a platform. There are few good social networking extensions: Mighty Touch, Community Builder, Joomsocial

 

hmm what can be possible business model? Even the websites that you mentioned are finding it tough to make money.
