Looking for a single word for 'more work than it's worth'

I'm looking for a single word to describe 'more work than it's worth', something along the lines of where you put alot of time/effort into something which typically produces very limited results.
Any help is appreciated

I'd say 'not worthwhile'. It's two words, but the opposite of worthwhile is worthless and it doesn't have quite the same meaning.

Give us the paragraph you're trying to fit this one word into and you might get better results. Why are you limiting yourself to one word, anyway?

 

I think this will help and keep learning words like this. When Google Home Assist or Google Smart Home device shaped like a cake comes will help playing games in the device.
