    Hi DP'rs,

I am looking for a secure code snippet submission plugin. Something along the lines of 'http://pastebin.com/' and it's functionality, but with the diretory feel of 'http://snipplr.com/'.

There is 'Code-Snippets' but this is more for adding snippets into the current themes functions.php. Not building a database of user submitted code.

I think it can be achieved by utilizing custom posts and customizing a 'Contact Form 7' entry with 'Syntax Highlighting' though this will be a bit of a major hack.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? Does such a tool / plugin exist?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Cheers,
    Web2xs

Any even remotely feasible suggestions? Or even wild & random thoughts?

Nope, I spent a while looking into this as well. I would perhaps suggest checking a few clone like things such as here http://www.scriptcopy.com/snipply-code-snippets-clone-script/ and perhaps embed that function into a wordpress page or something to that effect.

bit of a hack job really but in theory if you can wrap the pastebin stuff with your header and footer you are fairly close.

    hope that helps,
    Nigel

In this case of functionallity and security I won't go with Wordpress but I would get someone to code an secure snippet website with all the features you want. It's more secure this way.
