I am looking for a good script to build a forum site. I came across WSN Forum. (www.wsnforum.com) It seems powerful according to the feature list and it is free. Can anybody who have experience with this script tell me how it compares with VBulletin? thanks
Well, I've never heard of WSN...the features list does look promising, I would just be concerned because it seems to be a fairly new and not well known software. I don't like the default design either, looks terrible in my opinion....which would mean that you'd look for a mod/skin community. Do you know of a place to get mods, hacks, and skins for WSN forums? My recommendation is to look into SMF and MyBB - both are quite established, full of features, and secure...MyBB is almost a vB look-alike. Both are more well known and thus have a larger mod/support community. WSN might just be fine, but I'm not sure what the future holds for it and I'm not sure that there are enough resources for it right now.
