Looking for a quality slide show creator

Is anyone able to recommend a slide show creator that has produced quality results? After scouring the web, I decided to try the tial version of dvdphotoslideshow professional. The show was easy to put together and it had just the right amount of flexibility to alter the audio and video. However, I am not satisfied with the resolution of the images, which are too blurry given the clarity in the originals. Has anyone had better luck elsewhere?

Actually, a website-based slideshow is something else I was very interested in doing, so thanks for the suggestion here - I will check into it. But my original question related to a slideshow burned DVDs and would not be for online. One application would be a travellog containing pictures with trans effects, background music and voice annotation. dvdphotoslideshow professional offered all this, but as I said, I couldnt seem to get decent image resolution. So, for this need, are there any suggestions?

I take it you don't own a Mac?

If you do, I would suggest Keynote (amazing) - like powerpoint, but exports slides to .mov files.

    Or iMovie.

I'm guessing from the list of software above that this is not an option...

You can try Proshow Producer. I have an experience using them to publish my wedding photographs on AVI file, which impresses a lot of the guest.
