There are a lot of programmers here, and a lot of them are really good, so I was wondering if anyone here is interested in launching their own companies. I want to start a company of my own, but I don't code and its difficult to find a programmer willing to work for equity. I do, however, have a deep working knowledge of the industry, and can provide financing. The reason I am not hiring someone outright, is because the startup will not be generating revenue any time soon, and I do not have enough money to finance the startup as well as pay programmers for such a long time. Plus I really need a technical co-founder who truly believes in the startup as much as I do.
Hi Kanewyler, Since your post kind of talks to me, i definitely would like you clear this up: you first say you can provide financing, but then go on and say you can't pay, so, what exactly do you bring to the table, if i do the programming(i understand you don't have any programming knowledge), also, "knowledge of the industry" is a bit broad, and this thread yells to me a bit "i have an idea and i want you to develop it for no money and hope it makes money + ill pay you then", I'm honestly asking you these questions because if you are serious about this, these questions need to be answered.
