I have a paid-content, membership website. This site runs on software called Membergate... built in ColdFusion with a SQL database. Membergate handles user access, e-commerce, content management and has a built-in forum. There are two features within membergate that I'd really like to change or come up with some sort of work-around. 1. The built-in forum is feature-poor. 2. Membergate has a 20-minute in-activity logout timer that is annoying... especialy for my members that use the forum. Here is what I'd like to do to attempt to fix both of these problems. I'd like to create a brand new forum with vBulletin. Here's the trick, I need to keep this forum private and NOT open to the public. I need some sort of program created that will interface with both my SQL-ColdFusion membership website and my new vBulletin forum. Here is what the program will need to do: 1. When a new member is added to my CF/SQL website, this program will use the exact same username and password and create a vBulletin account. 2. When a member expires, this program will cancel their account in my vBulletin forum. I'm not sure if something like this exists or not, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! Bob
sounds like an interesting project - check out www.cftagstore.com - and contact one of the developers of the forum apps that are there - I'm sure they'll want to help you out
