And even worst, spamming with the same question across multiple forums, so what he needs seems to be a forum infraction.

Product naming requires market research, careful study and a bit of intuition. There's marketing companies that charge 10s of thousands of dollars to name products for companies. It's doubtful that such a vague request in a forum will get you any useful answers. Asking it across multiple forums will only undermine your credibility before you even launch.

Some time ago I wrote a pair of posts on this topic. Here's a link to my article How to Name Websites.

I hate to have to plug my own tool, I really do, but one of my sites, http://www.fakeword.com/catchy has a cool domain name generator.
It creates pseudo words, based on a mixture of part-words, and modern domain name suffixes, such as "ster", "tube" etc. The database is huge, and it has been used successfully by a lot of my clients (I'm a web designer).

Hopefully it helps you find something catchy/memorble.

Its hard coming up with a name that isn't taken... that will narrow things down a bit

Yes it's getting more and more difficult to find good domain names, especially those that are keyword heavy, yet still catchy.

In the last year, I've done a few jobs that involved serious brain storming sessions and hours tapping in words to check availability.

I've built up a list of great available domain names. I revisited my list today, with the intentions of doing a bit of website flipping, only to find that many of the best ones had since been taken!

If you ever come across an available domain name that you know is gold dust, don't hesitate to grab it!

It is still possible to find good domains though. Sometimes you just have to think outside of the box. Flip something on its head. Look at current naming trends. Try rhyming, alliteration, plays on words, popular phrases, and dfinitely be sure to mess around with Markov Chain generators and other domain name tools online.
