    Hey guys,

I am looking for a little SEO help on my site
    http://trainingfora5k.info
It is a niche site and gets anywhere from .7 cents to .33 cents a click. I wrote all the articles myself and the domain, training for a 5k is a keyword I want to place high on SE's.

It is indexed and has a few backlinks, but I really want to get listed for that term. Any advice?

Get some backlinks with the use of "training for a 5k" anchor text. And Use this keyword in your title, meta description and keywords. Also if you can use this in html file name like http://trainingfora5k.info/training_for_a_5k.html
    That is it :)

Get a lot of backlinks with that keyword as the anchor text, do link exchange with similar sites, etc. I'm not that good at SEO :p

By the way, did you mean 7 cents to 33 cents per click? Or 0.7 cents to 0.33 cents per click (because that totally sucks) ???

    Regards,
    Nithanth

You need to add alot more content to that index page. You need to have about 500 words on there.

YOu have a good domain name, but if you could register for a name like training-for-a-5k.info and redirect to this site that would help because your keywords would be in the domain name. Right now the SEs are only seeing "training".

You may want to add "run" to your title tag

Put a H1 Header tag in there with your keywords at the top of the page. Also put the keywords in the body with a bold tag

Apply these same tips to the other pages on your site. Put your keywords first in your title tags (not your domain name).

Optimize each page for the relevant keywords (training, diet, mental, etc)

Get a .htaccess redirect on your site. You have 2 sites right now... the www. and the non-www.

choose one and stick to it.

Improve your link popularity using training for a 5k as your linking or anchor text. Submit your site to link directories, create articles and put a link using that anchor text on your resource box. :)
