Looking for a little profit

My name is Matt, and I do a lot of freelance web development out of my house. I am looking to switch from freelance work to developing a product of some sort, or service, that I can make a profit from.

I am skilled with PHP, XHTML, JavaScript (& jQuery), Joomla, CSS, and other languages, but I am not sure what to do.

Basically, I need help. I would like to profit more then the low wages I get freelancing. I am looking for suggestions and/or ideas for me that would help me get some profit. I do not have extra money to invest very much, but I do have some.

    Anything helps, thanks.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I've been doing freelance for a while now and although it does provide some good money, I am interested in starting to start my own business.

I've started working on one, and the difficulty is not having a second opinion. So if I were you I would make sure you get a partner for whatever you work on. In fact, if you don't already have one, I don't have a partner so if you are interested in partnering with me drop me a line and I'll see if it could work out

    Hope that helps

So the question is, how to find a product? Not sure I'm understanding the concern here.

You can try out to find regular job with a web development/outsourcing company.

Yeah create your own sites make it promoted over among search engines the more traffic you get more money you can make! I think this business you can run it longer than free lance :) although it would take some time to settle but if it settled gonna give you handsome monthly earnings
