Looking for a light weight video sharing script (youtube clone)

I am currently hunting for a light weight youtube clone script as scripts like phpmotion, chipshare and vshare has too much frills which i do not really require and makes the site loads real slow.

Any one has any recommendation for a light weight script that is easy on the servers? I need the script to be real light and fast to load.

Hardware avail for this project is decent:
1 x quad core 4gb ram and 100mbps dedicated
1 x quad core 2gb ram and 2000gb bw

I am looking at a script which can split the load, like sql on one server and videos on the other.

I have used clipshare and once my members goes up and concurrent users online peaks, the site takes zillion of years to load. I have spent considerable money to tweak the servers apache to take the load but to not avail.

I am looking at around 1000 users concurrent at peak so I need something that is less resource intensive and can load at a decent speed even at its peak. Looking at close to 30000 uniques per day when I push the site.

Any one has any offers please let me know. This is an adult video sharing site.

 

Your best bet would be to pay for a custom software application. And decent language would do (PHP5, Python, Ruby).

Your server specs are good, but you skipped on some of the important details, like the hard drive and CPU architecture. For the Database server, you'll need fast hard drives(SCSI or SAS), preferably in a RAID 5 or 10 configuration.

Choosing database software is important as well, thought I suggest PostgreSQL, MySQL will suffice. You will need to fine tune these technologies.

For the application, I would highly suggest something along the lines of LightTPD or Litespeed, but Apache will fair. With fine tuning of course.

 

yes i understand where you are coming from, but I am unable to find some one to customise the script for me. Budget is not too high but decent.

I've seen clipshare mention their methods for high traffic sites. I recommend you contact them, they know how to run a very high traffic site w/ clipshare.

 

i don't know much about these kind of scripts but you could take a look at ostube, enterprise edition (custom made for each customer or something like that.) . hey i saw your post on scriptlance . good luck.
