Hey, I was wondering if people could suggest some good cheap hosting companies that will allow you to host a Wordpress blog and link to copyrighted material. The reason I ask is because I'm helping out with a Wordpress site that posts up album leaks and music downloads from a variety of artists. They're linking to mediafire uploads, and they're currently hosted on Hostgator and Hostgator seems hell-bent on taking the site down (on their own accord). Your suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated.
The site isn't hosting any copyrighted content on its actual servers, it is merely telling people where they can download it. Albums with cover art, track listings and a link to download the album off of Mediafire most of the time. Hostgator don't seem to like people linking to album downloads, even if they're not on the actual site, just a link. Still think an offshore provider is the best? Can you recommend me any offshore hosting providers that are cheap and good?
Go with a non-US based company, almost most well known hosting providers are in the States, you can find a cheap and small company somewhere else, probably they wouldn't care. Anyway, I think as long as you don't actually HOST copyrightten material on your server -- you'll get away from account suspension.
