    Hey..

I am doing a project for work where we would like to tag our favourite locations on a googlemap... any idea where I can do this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Si

i think you cant see them on any website , you have to download the software earth and then see it ,
i am not sure about this but i dont know any website which allows us to see maps on net

Thanks Mike, but we want to be able to add our own sites such as hotels we like and shops we go to etc... can you do this with your maps?

i'm not sure to be honest - it's not my site, but i thought it might be helpful.

the owner is a member here, do you want me to get you his contact info?

It's good but to do something more customised you will need Enterprise Google MyMaps = Very Expensive.

Or get a company to do it for you = Not as expensive, but still costly.

    ng51online,
You can embed google maps on the site itself using the Google Maps API
    http://www.google.com/apis/maps/

You can add your own places and a lot more.

Amator: Thanks very much... am looking to this now..

I think our company website is controlled via CMS, and our blog is a blogger one, so not sure how much ftp access we will have, but i will have a play and go from there.

Ok, had a look into that, but the API business is so complicated - and we really don't have the budget for a custom job.

Yet out of interest how much would a custom job be? A simple upload of a map to our domain, whilst allowing us to add new locations on the map?

Is there nothing off the shelf? surely social media has moved thus far?

Depends what CMS you are using. I remember using a tool which placed markers on the map through Joomla. Check their extensions directory :)
