Looking for a good Graphic Design LCD Monitor

I'm looking for a new lcd monitor that I can use for web/graphic design and thought someone might recommend some monitors for me:

    What I want is:

    -Widescreen
-24" preferred (22" may be alright)
    -1900x1200 preferred resolution
-Good color management is the key for me. I was thinking about an Acer P241W, but there were too many bad reviews about bad black washouts.
-I will not be using it for movies/gaming so that is not an issue for me.
-Price: Something between $200-$400 on ebay.

Any suggestions? and are debranded monitors worth buying?

If you really need the "best", than it is no other than Apple Cinema Display but the problem is higher costs. Try finding some good deal on ebay.
Secondary options are View Sonic & NEC, but you need to look at the specs first.

right sajoo, if money wasn't an issue, I wouldn't have even made this post and bought the cinema display, but since it is, I'm looking for advice. I read NEC is fairly good, but from most of the 24" I've looked at, the specs are fairly similar. I'm looking for reviews from web designers and what they use. There just doesn't seem too many reviews on such a topic.

Im using Dell and HP's 1900x1200 resolution at my home and Studio.

I like the dell and hp as well although HP sounds a little more appealing by the looks...would you recommend dell over hp? If so, why is one better than the other?

You can try the BenQ FP241WZ or a dell or look for a second hand LaCie.

My cousin bought an LG screen, 22" for graphic design and he love love loves it. Dell often has sub-standard parts in their computers that don't quite meet standard, so I would assume that the HP would be of equal or possibly greater quality if they were close in price.

I think more important than brand is this:

Will the surface be matte or glossy? Glossy screens in my experience as a designer (does it run in the family?) are FAR greater and easier to tell colour from.

Best of luck, I wish I had a second screen (I'll let you buy me one if you want to haha)

I purchased a DELL 2408WFP. Hopefully it will serve its purpose. The reviews on these monitors seem overall pretty good, and combined with almost $100 through Microsoft's ebay rebate, I think it was worth the purchase. Anyone have experience with the 2408WFP?
