Hi guys, Ive done alot of reading about adsense and use it a reasonable amount but ive just started looking into a few very niche areas. Im just using the google keyword tool and am interesting in finding out everyone thoughts about the keyword criteria that makes a good niche. For example a keyword that has an exact match, has more than 1000 local searches and has an estimated cpc of $2... Im looking mainly at local australian traffic... I obviously know that theres is much more to it than this criteria but im looking for a good base to start from... So if you could all give me your thoughts on this it would be appreciated... cheers!
I have a B2B product which I market locally through India and let me tell you right from the beginning google could give decent results and leads. But there are some caveats. 1. Try to keep the landing page very objective. For example in my case I cannot sell the product directly but I need the contact details. So I made a registration form. In case of online shopping, you can have a page which offers some attractive discounts etc., 2. I was not happy with the content ads as the conversion ratio was poor and my budget was low. But this has definitely given me good visibility 3. Please keep watching the account atlesat every 6 hours for initial 10 days and tune the keywords and ads according to the conversions and clicks
I’ve been using Adsense for close to a year now and find that it is very useful on some blogs but next to useless on others. I’ve got friends who run niche blogs on highly targeted subjects (sometimes quite localized on particular countries) and they have struggled to have any ads served to their blog. As with any contextual advertising it largely depends on your content as to whether it will work or not.
