    Yeah,

I know we are ALL looking for dofollow blogs that are on .gov and .edu domains, but does anyone know of some?

If so, please say PM me and I'll get back to you, or if you are REALLY generous you can post them here.

I'm willing to pay for working ones....

*.edu & *.gov have no special weight, they have the same value ability as *.com or *.net..... hell even *.info, they tend to rank better and have higher pagerank since they usually have a lot of inbound links. But, by going on the fact they are *.edu and *.gov domain extentions is worthless SEO wise.

site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”you must be logged in” -”comment posting closed” -”comment closed” “[insert your keyword here]”

    and

site:.gov inurl:blog “post a comment” -”you must be logged in” -”comment posting closed” -”comment closed” “[insert your keyword here]”

are always great places to start. Just type it in Google.

rawwebdesign and drig, you two should really listen to ssandecki here. He's right (in more ways than one). It's really worthless going after those types of links anyway since the user generated content on those pages tends to be pretty low in quality anyway, especially with regard to .edu pages.

Does the quality of the content affect the weighting of the link? Isn't it only PR that matters?

Never said it was a good idea, just told him how to do it :)

.edu/.govs were considered "superior" for a number of years, but yes, I do think the value is VERY similar to that of a .com/net/org. etc.

I'd agree that the gov and edu domains are not inherently better than info or net or anything else, however I do think that most of us would prefer an edu link to an info link, because we know that usually when we get an edu link, it's from a quality page. Just like we'd prefer to own a house in a nice neighborhood, we'd prefer to be mentioned on an edu site, because the edu is typically of more quality than that of other domains. Gov links are hit or miss in my opinion.

Well this piece of tip did help me. I too was on a search for high PR .edu blogs to accumulate backlinks. I m not sure if its gonna help me in the long run, if the content quality of the .edu blogs is poor....but I did get some backlinks to my site for sure :D

    Thanks Again

even if you didn't use the blogs with .edu and .gov you can still rank by yourself.

    hmm....it what "particular" means?
I'm also wondering if commenting on "no follow" blogs have any weight at all in terms of SEO and web traffic.

can someone give me light on this?

I find http://www.dofollo.com/ useful but sometimes not all the website it pulls up give out the link juice.
