Hi, I am looking to build a simplified social networking site with these basuc feature specifications: 1) Members have simple profile that contains links that they like, categories that they favor, and comments from other members preferably via a shoutbox or whiteboard. Members and links can be rated by other members. 2) Homepage displays top rated recently recommended links in each specified category and tabs to alternate pages which have all time top rated links and top rated members. 3) Must have spam filters. I would like to have an Akismet check for each user, and a Bad Behavior interface. 4) Links should be validated using Google Safe Browsing API or similar. I think that the safest way to go in so far as payment is concerned, is to use an escrow account similar to Rentacoder (or use Rentacoder directly), but am open to alternatives. If you need further specifications, let me know. Also, before I close I deal, I would need references who I can talk to, as well as some partial code examples associated with the referenced account.
