How would you define those new type of website designs that are popping all around (and no, its not web2.0)

the design is so minimal yet so accurate and attractive,1-3 dominant colors, less graphic elements, more css, facebook, digg etc...

most of the designers ive worked with would love to overcrowd their design with anti aliased elements gradients and stuff that looked cool 3 years ago ....

what should I look for? can anyone recommend a good designer?

I think you're talking about a clean and professional style of a website.

I personally do not consider "web 2.0" professional, or clean. Web 2.0 can be nice, however it's far too busy for a professional look.

The idea you are talking about is not really anything new. It might be to you, however it's been around longer than web 2.0.

AJAX-powered sites provide for clutter-free layout and design thru the use of cascading AJAX effects as seen on Facebook.

If you need a web firm to handle your website requirements, we have expert web developers with AJAX and Facebook development skills.

You can check out Mynd Consulting's web portfolio at http://www.myndconsulting.com/portfolio.html.
