Does anybody have a decent site regarding commission junction that has a decent overview of: 1) How to find the good programs 2) researching advertiser quality 3) tips and tricks for maximizing revenue 4) latest news on tech updates, hot advertisers, etc. Basically, you're regular run of the mill industry guide site.
Hello, mmm I think nobody will give you this information. I know is hard, but as I'm sure you know, the rule is try try try try. Sorry, if I'm not help you, but I think this is the rule..... Best, Jakomo
hmph... I guess the market is wide open. I suppose I'll take notes as I go and see if maybe I can't do something with the idea.
jakomo is right, you need to try, what is good for one person many times it's not good to other. i can make write about charis and sell chairs. But other person can also write about chairs, but don't have a passion for chairs, so for that person, the chairs niche will never result. you need to try and tweak until you find the best niche that results for you
I don't disagree with you guys, but as I was going through the CJ interface, I thought it would be good to have a decent review of things - A site that would run down the basics - what is a smart zone, EPC, etc. Listing reasons program applications might get denied. Characteristics of advertisers to avoid and to steer towards (i.e. online reputation, pricing models, etc.) Not necessarily a step by step list, but more of a guide.
The first affiliate that you should join is eBay. eBay have a lot of niches where you can still win money. It's what auctionads use. You should try and tweak with ebay. Advice on advertisers? too dificult, it depends on the site that you have. If you have a site about credit cards (for example), you should of course joing credit cards advertisers. When you join, you should allways see the "3 Month EPC". The advertisers with the best "3 Month EPC", are the best and the more reliable ones.
I did find http://cju.cj.com - which is close to what I was looking for. Very well done with video training, but I'd still like to see something from someone who's just a user. I'm going to set up a typepad blog and blog as I go. It's a different game for each niche, but there's a lot of information that is applicable to everyone.
Just got started at http://frogmonkey.wordpress.com/ Not a lot up there at the moment, but I figure I'll screen capture and blog as I go.
There are many user sites you can see. Look at this one, affiliate ebay: Price Magician. It's a very good use of ebay affiliate
