Hey all, I just started a new blog and I cannot decide whether or not the general public can see my contact form as for some reason I cannot see it on my own computer with IE7 or FF3 yet I can with my roommate's computer. Could you just tell me if you see the contact form and what browser you are using? Thanks all! If you don't see it any possible suggestions would also be great. Contact Page Also feel free to comment on anything else with my blog, will start adding content tomorrow hopefully
Thanks all rep applied, anyone else able to see it? Or know why this might be happening only for certain users?
Not a clue. I checked the source to see if something might be inhibiting viewing on certain browsers, but the contact form code isn't even showing up in the source for me. I also just checked it on Safari 3.1.2 Mac and it isn't showing up there either.
The code for the contact form is triggered by the following: <!--gb_contact_form--> Below this point is where the other code is, using FF3 or Safari I am able to see the form code in the source but it simply does not show up.
Since other said they were still having problems I checked your site with FF 2.x.x and the contact form did not load. While looking to verify which version of FF I had I noticed that the browser was still trying to download something after the page was loaded. You might consider asking others to see if their more current intsalls are also hung in download mode after the page renders.
Thanks for your input all, I have decided to scrap the contact form as I couldn't get it to work properly and there were too many issues. Now I just have a much simpler contact form which should be visible for all.
Where's the fun in that? Unfortunately I've missed seeing (or not seeing) what you had earlier. If you run your current page through a HTML validator it shows up a few probs. There is a nice HTML Validator plugin for Firefox which I live by and it helps to show the errors of my ways. Plus it keeps me honest on alt and image tags parameters that I tend to miss. Yep, sometimes things break due to a missing ending tag here and there and things won't appear where they should. If you are interested in the plugin (and others may have their own favorites) it's here : http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/ Cheers Tim
