    Hi all.

This is my first post with the forum so I figured I would make it a good one! I'm an Associate in Business and I've been toying around with several different networks for Internet Marketing. Thusfar I've found nothing of use in the Warrior Forum, but I have high hopes for Digital Point.

I also would like to know if anyone knows of any groups, forums or communities of Internet Marketers who are all degree holders. I'm not sure if this type of group has been established yet, and I was hoping someone here could shed some light on the subject.

    Thanks,

    Jason Mueller

Why degree holders? I am not sure how a degree would help. In fact, given that most university level marketing courses still focus on traditional marketing techniques, I think a degree (and traditional thinking) might actually hinder you in this particular niche.

Even the so called new-media marketing programmes at most universities tend to be rubbish.

Well, I'm looking for degree holders because they're a community that hasn't really made it as an established Internet Marketing Community. Precisely the reasoning you provided is why I think it'd be important to establish something - kind of like, "continuing education" if you would. I think that congregating all the people who took marketing classes and majored in marketing could really benefit from some of the information that floats around on forums and such, and it'd be cool to provide that service.

Not saying that I'm jumping into anything like that, I have a few ideas I need to put into place first. However, just an idea for the future.

Also, it shows a level of commitment that isn't always there with a lot of the noobs (don't get me wrong, I know I'm not a vet here, but I've been cracking away at this for long enough to know a few things).

Well obviously there are groups on Linkedin.com and there are quite a bit of 'degree holders' on Viralnetworks.com . As degree holder I find that, in the internet marketing arena, people without degrees are often way better at mostly everything. Good luck anyway.

Have you looked around here and noticed the level of critical thinking and communication skills?

Hmm, I'm not sure how you mean that — good or bad?

I do agree! It's not having a degree or what not to be able to exceed on internet marketing. Most employers and employees i know who excel in this field are undergrads, some are just students and yet they be able to mingle and interact with different communities here in the web.

    Anyways, good luck to you!
