Job Opening: C++ Lead Programmer Oct. 22, 2008 DESCRIPTION: WebDNA Software Corporation (WSC), a Delaware Corporation, with its development office in Madison, WI, has a position opening for an experienced C++ programmer. This person will take the lead role in hands on development of WSC’s flagship product, WebDNA. ABOUT WebDNA: WebDNA is a scripting language and tool used mostly as a one-stop solution for data driven websites. This product has been around since the mid-1990’s and competes with other server-side languages such as Adobe’s Cold Fusion, Lasso, PHP, .NET (solutions), JSP, WebObjects, and Ruby on Rails etc.. WebDNA is a powerful object-oriented application and has some advantages over its competitors in ease of use and installation, including cross-platform consistency. REQUIREMENTS: • A thorough understanding of C++ (mostly ISO/ANSI standards) • Ability to work with the Visual Studio (6 and/or 2008) IDE as a hub. • Cross-Platform compile abilities are a big plus! (Windows, Sun Sparc, Linux, and Mac) Xcode and other IDE experience is a big plus. • Familiarity or experience with Web Development and Web Serving is a big plus! • A degree in Computer Science is not required, but is a plus. OTHER: Since WebDNA is like a PHP or other web oriented server-side scripting languages, experience in this arena will help. We are looking for a C++ programmer who is willing to learn WebDNA inside out over time. So, having some knowledge in PHP for example, will be very helpful.
