Ok i am new to this blog system and as i have a webhosting site i thought i would have a look into making a blog site where i can create or auto create blogs with subdomains or domain name that people have that would like a blog, So its a blog hoster i am looking for is there any script free or payed that will do this. I would like a free one at moment for testing but all info or the best script you think will help please lis. Also as im looking for a little info as well do you pay for your blogs or do you get them free if there free what dos the blog hoster get out of it. I hope some of you can answer these qestions.
One day, I had the bright idea of doing exactly this. So I searched google, and found a lot of sites that sold software to create your own blog empire. But no freebies. Then I checked ebay, nada there! Seems the best software for creating this type of business is going to cost at least $299, think the most expensive I ran into was like $1900. Let me know if you find a good free one or a good one that works. Edited to add this: Found this just now, it seems to be okay, works off wordpress: http://majorscripts.com/blog_hosting_script.html 60 bucks....wonder if worth it?
IT will be nice if you get someone ( if you aren't expert ) to integrate wordpress MU ( http://mu.wordpress.org ) into a website template and make your own FREE empire wordpress is free and you will just have to pay the hosting fees and pay to the person who will make the site design for you if u make your service free, then you can get some money by putting Adsense to it - blogging is lovable for advertising companies cuz it has much content and the content changes daily ( search engines like that too !!! ) there is anotehr option which will be to have small fees for the blogging service ( either one time or monthly fee ) in this case you have to offer quality service that worth what you will get from the customers in both cases you need some advertising for your service or link exchange because there are much famous site who offer the same service for free like blogger.com
I would second that recommendation for Multi User (MU) Wordpress. Wordpress is easy to use for the end user - which is always good. Just make sure you find a niche as competing with Blogger/wordpress.com/Typepad etc could be quite difficult -Tim
