I need help picking out where to build a blog. I have a blog on blogger but going all over the Internet looking for places to ping it everytime I post a new article is too time consuming.
There are a lot of places to ping like pingomatic and so on but if I need to ping my blog everytime I post this takes to long.

Here is what I want ideally in the order of importance

Preferably this needs to be free
Automatic pinging every time I post
Easy to set up and use
No html required but I can paste it in if I need it.
An rss feed that is updated automatically

Well theres not too many places that are willing to take your blogs rss. They want you to go post your blogs at most but there are a few. Google offers some sort of free service for bloggers I'm not too sure if it will meet all your needs but surely some! I would also like to follow this post and see what kind of suggestions you get!

    Thanks and great question

If you are using Blogger and you want a free platform, I guess Blogger is the best.

In your Settings panel, it should have an option of pinging Weblogs.Inc every time you post something. Submit your sites to search engine and I don't think you will have the need to ping for your site any more.

waynelyp90 this pinging you're talking about. Is it the same type of pinging I do when I select ping Google for my link dirr?

Is it a cache to Google Search Engine almost?

Yes, and if you update your blog frequently, search engines bots will be frequently coming back to your site to check for new contents.

Not to say I am a Blogger lover but Blogger is actually a great platform if you want to get spider crawls. Don't forget that it is under the big G umbrella.;)
