Please read the complete message - the last part is very important. The guy that currently manages my blogs is about to grow his own internet marketing business and will be spending all his time doing that [Thanks for great service Joseph!] so i have this opportunity: I currently have 7 blogs and will probably launch several more over the next few months. I am looking for a manager for these sites - your duties will include: 1. Scheduling posts [provided by me] on a regular basis. You will need to create tags and source and include royalty free photos. A number of the blogs get updated either every 1, 2 or 3 days. I buy articles in batches of 10 so they are then scheduled as appropriate. From time to time I also have posts that need to be uploaded into ezinearticles.com and would ask that you do those as well. 2. Ensuring plug-ins and blogging softwareare up to date [all my blogs are self hosted Wordpress sites]. 3. Establishing new blogs to the agreed standard [installing plug ins, setting up akismet, feedburner etc]. I have a document detailing all the requirements. 4. Suggesting and installing a suitable theme [if you are experienced and think it's a good idea I am happy to invest in Headway or Thesis or?] Additionally if you are graphically capable then let me know - that will be an advantage but not essential. if you are able to produce a custom blog header then tell me and include a few samples of your work. 5. Other things that occur from time to time! I anticipate the job may take around 5 hours per week, sometimes more and sometimes less. Most of the work isn't urgent and can be completed over a number of days. You submit your time sheet on a Friday and I make payment by paypal on Saturday. I use Skype for immediate conversation, a web based project management system to detail tasks [zoho] and respond to emails promptly - although I am in Australia so the time zones may cause apparent delays. If you have any questions then feel free to ask them in here or in private message. If you are wanting to apply then please pm me with your interest and please include the following information: 1. Your age and experience of wordpress blogs 2. Your country / time zone 3. Your hourly rate My experience of Digital Point shows that a number of people respond and don't give that information but they just say 'I can do this etc' - on this occasion I won't reply unless you are asking a question or have included the information that I have asked for. The reason being that if you aren't able to follow specific instructions then you won't be capable of providing the required level of service to manage the blogs. ***UPDATE [after nearly 3 hours on the forum]*** 12 people have expressed their interest - here are some of my comments: a. please don't apply if you don't have wordpress experience [Je*****123] as I can't hire you. b. If you aren't able to give me a price then how am I supposed to know if you are the right person? [hu*****d; me*******r], c. If you don't give me your age then I assume you can't follow instructions [hu****d, ga*****d], d. The number of hours I have is 5 - so giving me your weekly price for 16 hours a week isn't helpful [if*****l]. I normally leave these posts open for at least 24 hours to ensure I don't disadvantage anyone because of their time zone and I will post my decision back in this thread rather than to everyone individually. Thanks all fopr your interest so far, I have a number of people I could choose but am open to receive more applications. Nigel If any of you mentioned above want to fill in the gaps of your application then feel free.
Thanks to everyone who responded. For your information I had 26 people 'apply'; 12 of which didn't supply the information that was requested. I have now narrowed my search down to 4 people who will have either already had a Skype conversation or have a request to Skype me in their inbox. If you weren't succesful and wanted to know why I didn't choose you then by all means pm me and ask. Thanks again - this thread is now closed, no further applicants will be considered.
