Some of the stuff i need:

    (at least)..
    2 GB Disk space
    1 GB RAM
    1 IP address
    Linux OS
Cpanel is a plus (but Plesk is ok)

What are you going to host on the VPS?
I believe no one web hosting provider will allow 2 week trial
    Maybe better have dedicated server?

I'll just be hosting my facebook applications, it's not really resource intensive, but then a shared account is not sufficient, that's why i need to upgrade. I'm getting a lot of visitors a day, and my shared hosting already blocked my account several times for CPU usage..

A dedicated server is ok, but it's more difficult to obtain a trial for it.. I know there's a lot of VPS hosts out there, but i don't wanna spend without testing it myself.

No one VPS provider is going to give you a free trial without knowing 100% that your VPS wont be used for spam. You need to contact a potential VPS provider and see if they will meet your needs by offering you a free trial of their services. I doubt you will find many that will be open to this idea.

With that kind of budget, you could get a dedicated server, but there really is no need unless you plan for your FaceBook app to become an instant success. Start small then work your way up.

If you can't find a VPS host that will do a free trial, I would recommend you just jump in and pay for it.

I'm willing to put in my credit card details as long as i don't get charged outright.. and have the option to cancel before the trial IF i don't like or is having trouble with their service.

    Anyway, thanks for the advice!

Would a 30 day trial VPS host suffice? You could try it for "X" amount of days, and if you aren't satisfied they will refund your money.

You may get a provider willing to give a trial of 5 days, but 15 days seems a lot.
Also, you need a control panel , which has to be paid for, so no provider will give you a control panel included in the trial.

    Hello Gameslim,

Please do let me know via a PM the amount of bandwidth that you require and a location preference if you have one. I can offer you a 7 day free trial period on one of our nodes.

    cheers..
