Hey I need to find someone to try my upcoming product.

At this point I'm looking for someone who designs and builds their own web sites and has intermediate to advanced skills in HTML and CSS.

Likely candidates will have a live server ready to test on, a desire to create one or more small web sites and/or landing pages within the next 24 hours, and the aforementioned skills in HTML and CSS.

You will receive a review copy of my upcoming tool and personal coaching in it's use in exchange for your time and prompt, active feedback on the script.

I've not found an "intermediate" product of this type, or which competes in this class. To be fair, I'm not sure if that's because no one has tried it, or if it's because it has flopped before.

It is a website development tool, but it doesn't hold your hand, and it may not be suitable for true beginners until there are some good video tutorials and maybe template sets available. The target market is people who develop large numbers of smaller web sites. Marketers (affiliate and otherwise), designers, webmasters of any sort.

So if this interests you and you want to participate please let me know. Thanks.

    Looks like three offers already.

At this point I'm only looking for one person so I'll get back to the three of you with a yes or no after I look around a little bit.

If things fall throught I'll post again, thanks.

can you give a few details either on here or PM as the self hosted wisiwyg site builders are quite well known online, plus WP is soo easy I prefer it for my sites.

There is no WYSIWYG here at all, this tool is for people that read/write code. And most useful for people that can create their own CSS layouts. The sort of people that, uhhh, don't want WYSIWYG tools. Trust me they're out there.

It sharply limits the market, it's not a product to pitch at every one who hopes to have a website. It's for people who already make websites, and want to basically do it faster, or build larger/better sites in the same amount of time.

Design and build a mini site in less time than you currently spend designing and building a landing page. It's very template friendly, and once there are some nice templates it may become good for the people that currently install and host an entire wordpress install for a landing page, or a 4-6 page mini site.

No database required, and a simple CMS that will seem useless if you're not comfortable creating CSS layouts. I'm taking it slowly because right now the (very) few peolpe that have seen it haven't seemed to get it.

I think that's my fault though, since I haven't seen a product like this offered and I am NOT a copywriter/sales person. At this point I've created some templates to give people a better idea of what it does and I'm just trying to work with a couple of people to learn how I need to pitch it and find any holes before it's approved for sale.

I fear, since I'm dead broke right now, that I may end up needing to hire (or use the contests forum) to get a page design and some copy. So far each attempt I've made to partner or make a JV of it or whatever has ended with the other party vanishing immediately after they receive the script. No feedback, not even "I can't be bothered" or what.

The product is complete, although I have at least one bonus enhancement in mind. I've submitted it to clickbank, it has a working pitch page (that's crap right now) and a working thank you page (that's disabled due to test mode) and I'm setting up another site to host a support forum and etc...

It's an interesting project, and maybe too out of the ordinary for a first product, but I'm going to get it done. There will be more than one "reviewer" here at DP I'm sure as since I'm a completely new vendor and I need some affiliates. I think that letting a couple of people try it and seeing if I can coach them through it will help quite a bit. Once there are some nice templates available for viewing, people who use WP for small sites because it's their only option may become interested too.

A < 50K script that runs a mini site and even a small, single-user CMS with no database required. Free hosting anyone?

It does the job. The question is I guess since it's different from what people are used to, will they want it? But it's not WYSIWYG and it's not a hosted solution, it's a script you buy and host and write (or copy/paste) code for.

It automates the process of globalizing, including, and certain other tasks that create a mini site using less HTML than you would write for a typical landing page. Internal templates mean you never hand code a doctype declaration or <html> tag again. Instantly globalize header/footer/menu designs, drop in articles or other content as text files. Works with scripts, embedded objects, frames/iframes, whatever you are currently using to put content and advertising onto your site.

Complete CSS flexibility and a modular CMS that manages blocks of code and can also create new files and directories on the server for you to expand your templated mini site.

You can "chop up" existing landers and designs, and use this to turn them into easy multi-page sites, too.

Sorry to go on, I'm winding up and learning how to pitch the product to a skeptical market ;) There's more.

If you're interested let me know, for the next few days I'll be contacting people who express interest and inviting them to try the product. If you are an active affiliate marketer, build and host your own sites (or anyone else's) and are available to actually work with the script definitely let me know.

I'm not passing out copies for curiosity seekers or commentary at this stage of things. People with decent DP rep/itrader/activity level and actually want to try it, not just read the book, please.

By the end, I figure I'll probably share 3-4 more review copies, and one of them is already promised. If this thread gets enough interest than I guess I won't be asking/looking anywhere else.

It's my first product. I'm nervous that the people I've shared it with have vanished :) At least one of them, though, I'm sure didn't have the time to deal with a product that was not really ready. Hopefully no regular here at DP will just flatly rip me off, or fileshare my script.
