I am looking for someone to write articles on sub culture who has or understands the right wing bias. Not exactly sure what I am looking for,, maybe a social commentary.. The premise maybe something like, media and subculture are a sham job exploiting young and naive "customers" who are sitting ducks for what is termed "cool". I love this stuff Let me know..
A right-wing perception of subcultures, huh? Maybe an analogy would put us on the same page: - punk rock is a fashion statement of those who need to belong (not the other way around as these people claim), and it's entirely way beyond music! Hey, I may be mistaken by the statement above, but that's my right-wing perception of punk rock nowadays!
If I could explain it I wouldnt need a writer Punk Rock is a commodity. Punk is a historical reference for music, bands, and a philosophy realized after the fact, that is the Pistols intentions are not as important as their actual effect. punk is a subcultural and commericial slang term exploited by both Super Capitalist and Left Wingers. so uhmmm... anyone ?
Or that the sexy and independent-minded image portrayed by modern pop stars such as the Pussycat Dolls is actually created to pander to men's illusions instead of to solidify women empowerment as they proclaim.
Well, the right wing bias on sub cultures and the social commentary, that's probably the commercialization and the resistance of subcultures. Most probably my concept is totally wrong, but this is what I understand in my limited capacity.
I was referring to the punk rock subculture nowadays. Anyway, as it is already a fashion statement instead of something deeper like the entire motivation of old school punk, which was anarchy, it is obviously a commodity since the disillusioned majority of teen punk rock pogos are buying everything sold to feed the fashion!
I, for one, don't think present subcultures are resisting the commercial force - they're unwittingly embracing it with open arms and being drifted alongside the wave without even knowing it!
Exactly - you need to be pro-capitalist and pro-socialist all at the same time. You need a neoMarxist flooded with idealism and surrealism in one generous mixture, and you don't need a ghostwriter - you need someone with flair, the attitude, and the spunk!
So you need a pro-capitalist, a pro-socialist, and a pro-fascist - all in one serving. By the way, my name's Marx, and my second name's Virgil.
You're absolutely right, presently the subcultures are embracing the commercialization, but I'm talking about the commercialization with reference to right wing bias. Not in cent percent practical implementation, but the theoritical representation of right wing bias leads towards the resistance. Regards,
