I typed in "most popular sex toy" in the Yahoo browser and you'll never guess what the number one result was???

    SSA.gov: Popular Baby Names
archived lists of given names in popularity ordered by gender and year of birth from the Social Security Administration.
    Category: Baby Names
    www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames - 18k - Cached - More from this site - Save - Block

HAHAHAHA!!! That was the number one result. Yikes.

Okay, that was a hoot. Out of curiosity, I ran the same search at MSN - guess what -same #1 result, out of 1.45 million results. Not in the top 10 at Google ...

Hmm ... maybe Uncle Sam is practicing some blackhat techniques? LOL :)

It's interesting that the result were the same at MSN too.
I no longer trust yahoo ranking since the recent update and I am not surprised that SSA.gov gt the top spot for popular sex toys at yahoo.

The algo has been crap since the update

    "most popular" (baby names)
    "sex" (of the baby)
    "toy" (associated with kids)

in a roundabout way, those terms are related to the page, just not in the way the searcher intended.

Just shows how important on-page optimization is for those engines...

Even when there really isn't any specific optimization at all.

BTW, just to show how screwed up Yahoo is, search for addicting games

What does Yahoo ask? "Did you mean: addictinggames"
Oh, yes, Yahoo, I really meant to type something completely wrong, thanks for reminding me how to screw up my English...

makes you wonder about large keyword 'phrases'. I wonder if kwp optimization on yahoo is a bit more fruitless than we'd thought. :D

I bet there are some disqusting people who have babies and use them as sex toys. Oh god, what a sickening yet erotic thought.

Of course when I read this I didn't want to repeat the results, I wanted to know why. After checking your public profile now I know.

Now if they come in the shape of moles, why not a porcupine?

    :)

Well Yahoo has ssa.gov #3 under "least popular sex toy" too. Are we learning anything?
