I don't think this is a grey area, I think it's pretty black and white! It makes the AdSense program look silly, if I were Google I'd ban it without discussion.

And why are people blaming Google for the site?? Even if it's allowed to stay, SmartPricing would render it rather pointless. Though I imagine he will never get a check from this.

The red dot without the huge text I think would still be reaaally pushing it. With the text, no contest.

And he's trying to get around the "no discussing CTR" rule by giving the CTR for the entire page, though that's the only place to click. This isn't a legal loophole thing though, Google gave themselves enough room for human interpretation.

i ve checked his 'advertise on this site' link but site given in that has no adsense ad on it (at least i could not find!)

BUT

whois info for both the domains is different:

whois info for dontpushbutton
whois info for other site given in advertise here option of Google ad unit

 

LOL! He must be getting a CTR of more then 80%

 

Interesting idea.. But i think he should give the button some 3d-effect to make it look more like a button

Could be, but a quick search turns up a few more sites and judging from their design, he's just into pushing his luck! Sure way to get thrown out of the program!
