Win auction for the website and he'll have his "Paid to Click" members click on your ads! What a dope.
On that link and I go to someone selling a site. A cookie cutter site he just put up. And he will have his members give you 20 impressions and 2 clicks per day for 3 days. He values this service at $3.98 He adds a lot if the bidding goes high! Anyone that bids on this just does not understand.
Did anyoe try selling domains on ebay? I know someone who made lots of money from doing that but it was back in 1998 when it only just started up.
I sold a few domains off last year, did okay. Seems to run in spurts on ebay. One week, you will either not sell or sell very cheap. Next week, tons of bidders and you will sell very high. You do have to hype your sales message.
Spammy. Just one of those cookie cutter websites optimized for adsense. You have seen them on this forum for sale. 155 websites with a bunch of articles, etc etc etc It would not be so bad if this person had customized the site before putting on ebay. I may even do the same....get some good domains, and use a few cookie cutter sites, customize them up a bit. ANd offer 1 million impressions and 100thousand hits! LOL
To sell on ebay. Just to list, and then more if you sell. That is why I have never understood those people selling items for 99 cents. THe cost to list is more than that. Must be a method to their madness. Now to go check out a new piece of software that is supposed to create entire websites for me using public domain material, ebooks I have resell rights to, and so forth. See if I can create a site like this one: http://www.webmasterstrail.com
That site is all affiliate links and an RSS feed from NYTimes, what a joke. But I guess there's one born every minute...
The reason sellers are putting websites on ebay for so cheap is that the domain is registered with their own hosting reselleraccount so they make money from this.
Speaking of eBay morons, I just bought a PR7 link for $8.50 from a seller named addady. Sure enough, it was a pagerank hijack from an another site. Dumb thing is though, that the PR wasn't showing up in the toolbar (he's a moron too) but trying to look at the cache and backlinks it was pointed to an authority site. He scraped the content from openssh.org and tried to hijack their PR and sell links. http://openssh[dot]active.co.il/features.html (his) www.openssh.com/features.html (the real) His attempt here.
I just had a look myself. You're right ... But how can we help newbies, to know that these are NO's in buying links ?
Wow...that is stupid. But at least the shipping and handling charges of $6.98 are very reasonable. I hear it costs a lot to mail a website from Malaysia these days. I is am to bid on this goodest site of the English writing and making the money off Internet clicking through of ad now. (God, I can't believe I just wrote that.)
