Hello guys, When I looked at my site logs I found something scarry. Look at the picture in the attachment. I made a screenshot of it with only the relevant info. What you see is that this visitor came on my site on 2008-06-08 18:15:14 and then visited 47 pages and stopped at 2008-06-08 18:18:47 Scarry, isn't it, especially the time in between, an average of just 1 second. The browser is IE 7 on Windows Server 2003. But because of the time I think it can't be a user, so it must be an unwanted bot or something else automatic. But I don't like it and don't want it on my site. Is there a way to block this IP address and does somebody know more of this strange happening? I use Wordpress and these site logs are from the Counterize II plug in. Please leave only valuable feedback. EDIT: There is something wrong with viewing the picture via digitalpoint so I uploaded it to my site, you can see it here: http://www.invloed.net/ibms/sitelogs.gif
Yep scary! (Usually some spam bot or email harvester.) you could block the ip using htaccess, Use the search function or browse around the forums and you'll see how to ip ban in htaccess Regards DK
Ok thanks, and just now my site gets crawdled by another ip adres with IE6 on windows XP. the referrer is this time unknown and when I search on a who is site on the IP addresses, I will find IT companies.
I have banned both the ip addresses and more, with thanks to this script: http://aaronlogan.com/downloads/htaccess.php I found the link indeed on this forum when I searched for a solution. Thanks again
