Long time since my site was last crawled

I just finished up a redesign on a site that I just purchased. When I went to start working on some additional SEO on Google's dashboard, it says "Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Oct 4, 2007."

Is there something wrong with my site that it hasn't been crawled in 2 months?

Just create more content and backlinks.
Google will find your site and crawl it again if it sees more changes in your site.

I completely agree. Google will spider your site shortly after submitting the XML sitemap.
