    Hey -

I've been building and administrating sites for a reasonably long time, and I have just started to test the water as far as marketing goes.

I built a SEO tool that seems to do pretty well as far as providing analysis goes, but I'm here to learn the hows and whys of marketing.

I heard from a client that DP is a well-moderated, well-informed forum and I'm looking forward to being a member of this community.

You're not alone. I'm in the same boat. I have been building and admin'ing sites for a *long* time (1994) and before that old-fashioned modem BBS's and antique Commodore 64 computers. Never had to worry about marketing because I was always well ahead of the curve and my creations marketed themselves. Suddenly, I feel like a lonely drop of clean water in the Gulf of Mexico with a zillion competing websites in every area imaginable. Time to learn some marketing tricks (or get a real job). Good luck on your search for answers.
