Long tail keywords & short term keywod which one is more important

    Hey friends which one is more important to SEO point of view long term keyword & short keyword. & which type of keyword is helpful for E-commerce websites.

    long tail keyword is best ...... because long tail keyword have medium searches (traffic) so quickly we get first page in google search engine...and day by day traffic also increase so you give first preference to long tail keyword.

    Short term keywod is much more competitive that it is difficult for us to do SEO.Long tail keyword is less competitive that it is easy for us to do SEO.

    They are not actually important. Longer tail keywords are easier to rank for because there's not as many people competing for those keywords. It's common sense man.

    I tend to use longtail keywords when starting a new site. I then check awstats to see which are most searched then research that keyword for short keywords tightly related.

    Short Tail Keyword are helpful for the Meta Tags. Long Tail keywords are helpful of the Blog & Article.

    Long tailed keywords will have much less competition therefore it will be easy for you to rank for them quickly. Short tailed keywords have much larger competition therefore you would have to do more work in order to rank for them. As Ecommerce websites cater to a specific product so go for long tailed.
