Such a nice question I have ever found. I think short tail keywords are best than the long tail keywords. Short tail keywords increase the amount of website traffice. I think, you should prefer short tail keywords and it will also help you in future.

Short keywords works best instead long because you never know the big phrases of others they use for search. Do short ones, even single word based.

 

Long tail keywords are less competitive and sales conversion rate is high. Short tail keywords are difficult to rank and have less conversion rates. But short tail keywords have high traffic volume.
So both should be targeted. Generally I start with long tail keywords and then forward to short term keywords.

I use short tial sysetm. It shoul prefer short tial then long tail.

I'm using long keyword, because when people founds what they really wanted, they can buy it easily. And when people looking for something in short tail keyword there is lower percent of buying.

 

I focus on long tail keywords to get more traffic from visitors. Long tail keywords can seo easier than short tail keyword but still effective

 

long tail keyword index quickly because low competitive but short tail keyword takes long time because it is more competitive better use three word phrase for keywords.
