Hi, I need advice: my website www.madaboutheat.com is on Magento and is opening so slow.. loading time is about 30sec. What experiences do you have with Magento? Can it be faster? I already minified js and css. Thanks.

I tested your site using tools.pingdom.com.

Load speed was fine considering the excessive number of file requests you have (119). No site is going to load fast with that many file requests. It looks like you are using OVH. They are pretty well-known for having a clogged network but I see no evidence of that on those tests I ran.

Also, you have some files missing. cast_sender.js, whatever that is.

Test it yourself on tools.pingdom.com. It could be your ISP's network that is the problem, not your host.

Site loads fine for me (I am in the US). The first visit took about 8-10 secs. Any consecutive visit 3-5 seconds.

Every web hosting provider has their bad days / hours. Maybe you just happened to view your site during one of those.

Identify the peak hours where the load is slow. You might be able to find some solution for it. Otherwise, your website loaded perfectly fine for me!

Hello! I find the next way
    1. you need to switch cache on your admin panel (the path system/cache management)
    2. make sure that all types of cache are Enabled
    3. download and install https://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/cache-full-page-cache.html (Actually, it's not very cheap so you can choose smth free or cheaper)
    4. Find the developer who will make the review of your code and find the bugs which make your site slow (if you have them)

Try routing your site through cloudflare and have any type of CDN.
