Long articles - best method for SEO

    As others said before, break it into 7 pages. Link them together in a way that people will read them in order. Build a ton of backlinks for the first page.

    7,000 words is a lot for an article. That number of words should only be used for an ebook. You should reduce the number of words in your article to 500.

    I think you have to consider the objective of the article.
    If the objective is to sell product, you might as well get a domain, and use it as a sale pitch. Try to use bigger font, different colors to highlight the words, and bond/underline etc to make reading easier.
    If it is an academic article, then breaking up into "why, what, how" etc make sense.
    If the article is written with keywords in mind, and the main source of income is Google Adsense, breaking into many 800 words blog posts will generate more impressions from Google Adsense. After all, there is a limit to the number of Google Ads on a page.

    I agree most articles should be around the 500 region for SEO purposes, very few will read a 7000 word article.
